The G12H-75 is the higher-rated counterpart of the G12H Greenback, making use of Celestion's proprietary 'H' magnet to deliver a tighter bass response than the G12M-65 Creamback and with a clearer treble peak. Thanks, Brian. Right, I saw your how-to-date vintage celestion greenbacks link that mentioned that T1281 greenbacks were highly sought after. Mine date to 1978 and seem to be valuable. Which is ironic because these T1281's were in a Rivera 2×12 cabinet in 2005 I bought from a guy on Craigslist, instead of (new) Celestion 70/80's or G12H's. The Victory 2x12 looks like it has the same creamback I'm talking about. The Creamback here has the M magnet, and the 75hz lead cones V30's have an H magent and 55hz cones So they probably compliment well. I found the creamback to be a little too bright and edgy, not like a real greenback which is what I was expecting more for classic sounds. I currently have one with this speaker and one with the Celestion G12H 75 which I really like except for the comparable neo speaker is 1/2 the sensitivity of it's ceramic counterpart. The G12-H75 and the neo creamback are another example of this. 12-28-2019 What complicates these reviews even more so is the tonal preference of the user Celestion Creamback G12H-65 (75 watts / 100 dB) The Celestion Creamback offers some really great voicings for the Blues Junior. This speaker is a very articulate speaker with lots of nice tones within it. The Creamback is a much better choice than the Greenback in a Blues Junior. The Creamback has a clearer sound but it also sounds fuller on the low end which is what you want with a Blues Junior.
